Because the FHMA crew is trying to make it home by Thursday night so that I can attend a meeting on Friday, we're burning the candle at both ends, which has caused me to fall behind a bit. Expect a virtual barrage of posts to get us caught up over the next two days.

The FHMA Tour Hits Some Ups & Downs

Well, we had a wonderful day in Death Valley National Park on Thursday. It is truly is one of our nation's natural treasures.

But what started with this:

Ended with this:

As a result of the second event -- I won't say exactly what happened, in order to preserve some suspense -- we got into the hotel late and had some automotive research to do this morning, so the daily update will not come until much later today. On top of this, we also need to make our first vet of the trip on Friday.

All in all, it was a day of high highs and low lows, perfectly appropriate for Death Valley.

FHMA Delay...

Sorry, I got some much-needed sleep this morning, but because of that, I'm not going to have time to post today before we leave Las Vegas for Los Angeles, but I'll post later tonight.

FHMA Update...

Sorry for the delay in getting new posts to you. I did post something about how Joan photographs the dogs on Sunday, but have not had time to finish the posts on trip technology, or on how Joan and I divide trip responsibilities... So here's the plan, as we get set to depart Phoenix tomorrow morning.

• Early Tuesday evening: Trip technology
• Late Tuesday evening: FHMA Day 29 post, which will really be a recap of what we did the past four days
• Early Wednesday morning: How Joan and I divide responsibilities
• Early Wednesday afternoon: FHMA Day 30 post

Appreciate the patience, and sorry for the delay. But, rest assured, we're tanned, rested and ready to roll. We're now thinking we may take a detour and drive through British Columbia and the Yukon Territory so that we can drive into Alaska, and complete our goal of seeing all 50 states.
