As you make your way east, you might want to stop by the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum in Hayward, WI. You can go up in the giant muskie and stand in the balcony in its mouth.

If you go through Northern Ohio, you can stop at the Rutherford B. Hayes presidential home. Farther along the turnpike, get off at the Kent/Streetsboro exit and take Route 43 toward Kent. On the right is a little place called Twin Lakes Tavern. Pretty good little restaurant.

Then you can continue into Kent to visit a cute little town and see the site of the May 4, 1970, shootings of four students by the Ohio National Guard.
